Kisinger
George Kisinger (1730-1809)
Served as a patriot and supporter of the cause of freedom, signing the oath of fidelity in 1778, in Washington County, Maryland. He returned to his native state Pennsylvania and enlisted in the Lancaster County Militia in 1778 where he served several terms. He met general George Washington and Lafayette and knew them. Later his son George Kisinger II moved to Charles Town, Virginia and worked for the Washington family.
